Certified Translations for UKVI
DTSTranslation Requirements
If you're submitting documents to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) and they’re not in English or Welsh, you’ll need to include a certified translation. According to the UK government website:
“If you submit a document that is not in English or Welsh, it must be accompanied by a full translation that can be independently verified by the Home Office.”
This means every part of the original document must be translated—including stamps, seals, signatures, and handwritten notes. The UK government also specifies that each official translation must include:
- A confirmation from the translator that it is an accurate translation of the original document
- The date of translation
- The translator’s full name and signature
- The translator’s contact details
