Certified Translation of Diplomas
In the UK, certified translations of diplomas are required whenever the original is not in English and is submitted as part of a formal application. They are most often needed by universities, employers, and government departments, who depend on them to understand and recognise overseas qualifications.
Every certified translation comes with a Certificate of Translation Accuracy, sometimes called a Statement of Accuracy. It includes the translator’s name, signature, stamp, and date, together with a signed declaration confirming that the translation is a true and faithful copy of the original document.
The original diploma is usually expected to be submitted alongside the certified translation. Informal or incomplete translations are rarely accepted, and missing details such as seals, signatures, or grades can cause delays.
